Belles of the Mille, anyone?

Hey folks!

I had no idea that MsDirector's new production ("Belles of the Mille") was going to be playing in NYC this July.  Ganymede and I will be in town then and are planning on seeing it (we just need to know when and where now!).  Is anyone else going to be in the tri-state area this july?  We could make it the first ever Boar's Head Tavern meet-up!  ;D ;D

Wow, Shaxper, that would be great!  I'd love to see the Boar's Head Tavern crowd come to see "Bells of the Mill".  We've got a fabulous cast and the book and music are both exceptional.  It's based on the "Bread and Roses" textile workers strike in Lawrence, MA, in the bitter winter of 1912 and follows two very different women, a young Irish mill worker and a Jewish midwife, whose lives are are changed forever when they try to help the strikers. Great characters, great plot, lots of sex, violence and a sparkle of unexpected humor.   It's not Shakespeare, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  

We don't have our performance dates yet.  The Festival opens July 7th and includes a number of shows.  Each show gets 3 performances a week for 3 weeks (with the possibility of a 4th week to those shows named "Best of the Fest").  The performances will be at Raw Space, on W. 42nd St., between 10th and 11th Avenue.   I'll let everyone know what our exact dates and times are as soon as we find out.  

I'll look forward to meeting as many of you as can come!  What a wonderful idea!

Looking forward to it!  We'll definately be in town from the 7th until the 12th.  Beyond that, we can't be sure yet.  Keep us posted!!!!

I was also planning on MAYBE coming to the US this summer, but at the moment it's only a PLAN (a dream or something); I've met some American students here in Belgium and depending on how much we like each other, I might visit them. And if I'm ever in the States, I certainly want to go to New York! It would be really great to meet!
