Which one would you ask "what were you thinking/feeling when...?Iago Which one would you stop and say "Look what you're doing!" while they were doing it?Romeo while intervening with Tybalt and Mercutio, while pursuing and killing Tybalt, and especially while killing himself at the end. I'd choose Lear and Othello too, but I'm sure they would have been too stubborn to heed a warning. Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to?Richard II. A poor, sensitive, and intelligent guy who simply had no idea what he was doing wrong. On weekends, we'd go cruising and pick up Mercutio for the ride. Which would you marry?Well, I'm engaged to marry Ganymede, who I'm almost positive is Rosalynd reincarnated. In addition, I really cared about Desdamona and Ophelia, but Shakespeare keeps them vague. We don't know that much about them. It would be so much easier to like men for a question like this Which would you refuse to ever talk to?Henry IV. What an ass.

Which one would you ask "what were you thinking/feeling when...? - Viola when she falls in love with Orsino. He's such an idiot and definitely doesn't deserve her.
Which one would you stop and say "Look what you're doing!" while they were doing it? - Othello-- even if he wouldn't listen, I have the strongest feelings about his blindness. Titus, also.
Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to? Definitely Rosalind. She seems like so much fun! I'd also say Beatrice, but she often comes on too strong, if you know what I mean.
Which would you marry? Never have that strong of feelings for any of the characters. If I had to pick, I'd choose Benedick because he is humorous and witty.
Which would you refuse to ever talk to? Petruchio from Taming of the Shrew. He grates on me so much... which is why I usually hate that play.

Which one would you ask "what were you thinking/feeling when...? Isabella in Measure for Measure, at the end after the Duke's proposal when she remains silent. What is her reaction? Or Hermione in Winter's Tale, for similar reasons.
Which one would you stop and say "Look what you're doing!" while they were doing it? Petruchio. Doesn't he realise he's destroying the very things that make him love Katherina?
Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to? The Bastard Faulconbridge in King John. Tells it like it is, a good heart, and loves his (and my) country.
Which would you marry? Lady Percy. A warm and vivid person- not a character - and with Hotspur dead and gone, I'd have a chance!
Which would you refuse to ever talk to? Any of the parents in Romeo and Juliet. None of them are fit to have children, they hold petty grudges with a childish vindictiveness, and their competitive posturing makes me want to throw things at the stage.

Which one would you ask "what were you thinking/feeling when...? I think Isabella is a splendid idea, actaeon. I'd like to know what she was really thinking most of the play. Shakespeare feeds her some very wimpy lines, like the one that goes something like, "Dearer to me is chastitiy than my brother's life," which just drives me crazy, and somehow Isabella seems a stronger character to me than that. It doesn't ring true. I'd also (and perhaps this is cheating) like to talk to Miranda AFTER she goes back to Milan with Ferdinand and meets a whole NEW brave new world. It'd certainly be interesting.
Which one would you stop and say "Look waht you're doing!" while they were doing it? Juliet getting married to Romeo. She probably wouldn't listen, but she does deserve better than a scatterwitted, if dashing, poet. Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to? Beatrice, Juliet, Rosalind, Celia, Viola....but mainly Beatrice and Viola I guess, as the rest might be vexing. Horatio. A nice fellow, I always thought.
Which would you marry? Oh, Benedick, we'd quarrel endlessly and be blissful, there's no question. If I wanted a saner, more peaceful married life: Horatio. Which would you refuse to ever talk to?Petrucio. Can't STAND that man. And Falstaff. I've never seen his appeal.
THis is fun !

Which one would you ask "what were you thinking/feeling when...? Feste. Or Lear's Fool. I want to know what makes these guys tick. Also I want to know what makes them laugh, because I'm all about counseling the counselors and joking with the jokers.
Which one would you stop and say "Look what you're doing!" while they were doing it? Rosalind, for the same reasons Viola was earlier nominated; no offense meant whatever to our dear Mme. Ganymede, who really does appear to embody that which is good about Rosalind, but also appears to have good taste in men. Unlike her namesake.
Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to? My ideal gang of friends: Petruchio, Mercutio, Horatio, Feste, Kate (before getting hitched, not because I think she lost anything in marital translation... I think her last speech is best when delivered tongue in cheek... but because it would be weird if people in the gang dated each other), Rosalind, Viola, and Lady Macbeth before she got hitched (because I think if she met some nice smart people who weren't completely suckered by that silly primogeniture nonsense, she'd have been okay).
Or, for those late nights when I just want to talk to someone neat until we fall asleep still mumbling about interesting ideas, Richard II or Viola would be perfect.
Which would you marry? Richard II might be too much of a Sam to my Frodo for my liking. Horatio is too young, or anyway too serious. Ophelia would balance me out well, but I doubt I'm her type. Or maybe I am and that's not a good thing. I think I'll have to go with Feste, specifically as played in the Trevor Nunn film. But he wouldn't ask. Actually, that's good. I think I'd like to double-orbit Feste, like Pluto and Charon. Have a serial fling. Low commitment, maximum laughter. Yeah.
Which would you refuse to ever talk to? Malvolio. I cannot, cannot connect with people named "bad faith." It's a lawyer thing.

Which one would you ask "what were you thinking/feeling when...? I guess I would like to satisfy my interest in history alongside my interest in literature. If I was granted this wish I wouldn't waste it on a fictional character. I would want to know more about Brutus' inner struggle when he conspired against Ceasar. I would want to see the fear in his eyes as the Ides of March approached and as he entered the Senate chambers.
Which one would you stop and say "Look what you're doing!" while they were doing it? If there was a Gerutha, mother of Amlethus, I would have wanted to have taken her and shaken her before she could agree to join Claudius in fated wedded bliss so soon after Horvendil was slain by Fegnon. Are you mad woman?
Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to? Here I think I'd rather be in the lit world rather than the real world. It would be difficult to be the friend of Othello, following him onto the battlefield, into slavery and into redemption thence, but it would be worth the travails just to save him from Iago's influence when the time came.
Which would you marry? As a young man I would have had a hard time choosing between Juliet, Desdamona or the fair Ophelia. Now it is a complete tie between the wise Paulina from WT and the virtuous Isabella from MfM.
Which would you refuse to ever talk to? Egeus. A man who would put his daughter to death or cloistering for disobedience, even opposing an arranged marriage, is no man at all.

Which one would you ask "What were you thinking/feeling when...?
Kate, after the final scene. I believe she ends the play quite happy, though my friends disagree.
Which one would you stop and say"Look what you're doing!" while they were doing it?
Macbeth, at almost any point in the play. I'd like to let him know that he still has choices in his life, and doesn't have to conform to a predetermined idea. Kind of like Minority Report, I guess.
Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to?
Lifelong? Hm. I was going to say Feste because I so love his wit, but he doesn't have the loyalty and love of Mercutio. And though I can't imagine forging a friendship with Falstaff, I'd give anything to kick back with him at the tavern for a few hours.
Which would you marry?
Beatrice is my choice. The conversations would never grow old.
Which would you refuse to talk to?
Laertes. Punk.

Which one would you ask "what were you thinking/feeling when...? Ophelia when she took her life.
Which one would you stop and say "Look what you're doing!" while they were doing it? Emilia in Othello. A little confidence and awareness would have done her and everyone else a lot of good.
Which would you want to be a lifelong friend to? Beatrice or Sir Toby Belch for very different reasons.
Which would you marry? Viola. She is resourceful, intelligent, and self-less.
Which would you refuse to ever talk to? Iago or Aaron from Titus Andronicus.
