I've noted a lot of trouble getting to this site. Some days, every time I try to access it my computer crashes. Once, I suggested the site to a friend (as an example of a well laid out Shakespeare discussion site) but mentioned that it was a "crash-Harry's-computer day." He responded that his computer crashed on accessing as well. Other days, I get to the site okay, but after a bit it totally freezes my computer.
The problem appears to be in the ads--particularly some of the pop-up ads that open a separate window. Now, I know that advertising is what makes a site like this economical. I'm not against the ads in principle. I also know that this site has no control over the ads. They are sold by proboards and placed here in return for a "free" or low-cost hosting. I have no problem with that. It's just that I think proboards should be advised of this issue. Also, the advertisers should be advised of problem ads. It does no one good to produce ads that crash computers. I certainly do not regard highly any company whose ad causes my computer to crash.

I've posted a comment. Unfortunately, when my computer crashes I cannot determine which ad caused the crash--if it was an ad--because it never actually loads. I suspect it is an ad because of the timing of the crash, and because ads appear to cause the freezing problem.
