Hey folks!
I've been getting into film a whole lot lately (I should probably be reading some more), so I'm hungry to know what's out there that I should be viewing. I thought this survey would be fun for people to fill out and view, as well!
Here we go. Just complete the following. You'll find my answers below.
Funniest film: ? Most heart-warming film: The Wedding Singer Most moving film: Artificial Intelligence/Boys Don't Cry Most exciting film (not in THAT way!): Aliens Most thought-provoking film: The Wall Scariest Film: Day of the Dead Campiest film: Glen or Glenda (i.e. I Led Two Lives) The film with the best message: Dawn of the Dead (requires reading into the film quite a bit) Most re-watchable film (never gets old): Hedwig and the Angry Inch/The Wall The film everyone should see: Metropolis (1923)
Feel free to add any other catagories that I may have missed.

What? Not a single Shakespeare adaptation? Funny. I haven't seen a single one of your selection. Looks like I shall have to join you in your new hobby..

I love Shakespeare films, but I can't say any of them qualify in their own right unless you consider The Bard as nothing more than the screenplay writer

Hey, if shakey was alive today he'd be writing for the big screen, no doubt about it!!!
I must confess I'm partial to Shakespearean films. Kenneth Branagh's Much Ado has been my favorite movie since I was a kid, and I love Trevor Nunn's 12th Night more and more each time I see it.
Shakespeare aside, The Godfather, quite simply, rocks. I've only seen the first one, though--must see the rest! As far as horror goes, Bram Stoker's Dracula is great--I did a paper on it comparing it to the novel and, contrary to what usually may happen, I liked it even more as a result. Silence of the Lambs freaked me out, but I guess it's good.
I also confess to enjoying "Legally Blonde" quite a lot--I felt about fifteen shades blonder than I am (and I"m not blonde) and Ever After is another of my favorites, since it is so deliciously CUTE!
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was amazing as well, and I saw Lord of the Rings twice--excellent, excellent! (I saw it with a die-hard Tolkien fan the first time, who did not rip it to complete shreds afterwards, which is, truly, high praise)
