Just a shot in the dark. Is anyone here a fan of Fritz Lang's Metropolis, the groundbreaking anti-utopian science fiction masterpiece from 1927? There is an online petition to release the Giorgio Moroder restored version of this film to DVD. The Moroder version contains scenes and descriptions of missing scenes not even included in the recent 75th anniversary restoration. Currently, this groundbreaking film is out of print, and available only on old, bad quality VHS tapes for $60 each on ebay. I'd LOVE to see this film reissued. Please sign if you're at all interested. There's no commitment.
"Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments will hum about mine ears; and sometimes voices, that, if I then had wak'd after long sleep, will make me sleep again; and then, in dreaming, the clouds methought would open and show riches ready to drop upon me, that, when I wak'd, I cried to dream again"
