Hey, I was just thinking about this earlier today. You know how they've come out with all these amazing computer games where you can build an empire, a roller coaster theme park, or even your own city? Do you think it'd be cool if they made a world based on Shakespeare's time?

Wow. Great idea. The Renaissance was an amazing time to be alive. I guess you could say that about any period, and it certainly had its unpleasantries (plagues, for one thing), but to actually walk on the other side of the Themes river, just outside the boundaries of the strict London laws, amongst live Renaissance plays and "colorful" people, that would be something to experience! The Renaissance stage carried an excitement and freedom (coming, at least partially, from its defiance of the strict social order on the other side of the Themes) that has never quite been recaptured. I'd LOVE to see an Elizabethan Tycoon or Sim Renaissance. Heck, I love the original games as they are!

That's an amazing idea, Kim! And think how it could branch out into so many areas. You could have Ancient Egypt worlds, Victorian England worlds, Medieval Worlds... the possibilities are endless! It'd be awesome if someone took the time to research that and create worlds based on historically time periods. It would be so cool to do a Sim History or something where each neighborhood is set in a different time period and the objects available, the architecture for house-building, and the clothing was historically accurate. Wow!

Absolutely!
It might also be fun to do a Sim stage. Design a director, a company, a set designer, props master, etc, and watch them put a play together. Maybe you'd have the option of the time period in which the company exists: Roman, Early and late Elizabethan (Maybe even distinguish types of theatres and companies), Restoration, late 19nth/Early 20th century musicals, Epic, Modernist, Post Modernist, and a little bit of theatre from other cultures as well.

Shaxper, that's a great idea, too! Now I wish someone had actually created these programs. I'm so excited to play them!

LOL, yeah, Shaxper, that is a good idea! That would be fun! And like you could audition people and pick the play you'd perform!
